Cornelia Sachs

Cornelia Sachs, Eutony WertheimFor nearly 40 years, I habe been studying and working with movement modalities. Losing my leg due to bone cancer turned my focus on well-being as an independent above-knee amputee with no pain. (See also my video documentary about and with amputees here.) My studies included yoga, naturopathy, Feldenkrais, and Eutony and led me around the world, living in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, and the United States.

My first contact with body work was with Eutoniy which I studied with the founder Gerda Alexander in Copenhagen in 1981. At that time, I did not complete the 3 year full time training programm. Ten years later in the US, I participated in a Feldenkrais Professional Training Programm. After graduating as Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner, I maintained a private practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 15 years. Yet experiencing the effective gentle method of the Eutony work kept me searching and finally led me back to Germany to pick up where I had left off about 30 years ago with my Eutony studies. I received my Eutony Therapy certification in 2016 at the Gerda-Alexander School in Offenburg. After moving back to Germany in 2014, I am offering classes in Wertheim combining Feldenkrais and Eutony.
